CLUB CVLCC

CVLCC & YMCA EXPANDED LEARNING PROGRAMS

Chula Vista Learning Community Charter Elementary and Middle Schools, in partnership with the YMCA Expanded Learning Programs, and through funding provided by the California Department of Education, are excited to have partnered again in order to continue providing an exciting free program opportunity for CVLCC families now known as CLUB CVLCC. This new program replaces STRETCH & Club 326, in an effort to create a unifying and comprehensive program experience designed for our CVLCC families across our charter campuses. Our programs are funded through After School Education and Safety (ASES) grants and Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) funds. These state-funded programs have eligibility criteria, but are accessible to all, subject to capacity. Before and After School programs are offered at the Elementary School campus, while only an After School Program is offered at the Middle School campus.

Through the CVLCC and YMCA partnership, our vision is to collaborate with families and communities to offer students safe and nurturing expanded learning programs that prepare them for college, career, and life, that offer enrichment activities in academics, athletics, performing arts, and STEM.

ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

This program is designed for students to attend the full duration of the program during all scheduled program days. Enrollment for Club CVLCC will be prioritized based on these expectations:

PRIORITY ENROLLMENT
First priority shall go to pupils who are identified by the program as homeless youth, as defined by the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. Sec. 11434a), at the time that they apply for enrollment or at any time during the school year, to pupils who are identified by the program as being in foster care, and to pupils who are eligible for free or reduced-priced meals” [EDC 8483(c)(1)(A)]. Including students that have been identified as English Language Leaners.
It is the intent of the California Legislature that elementary school pupils “participate in the full day of the program every day during which pupils participate” [EDC 8483(a)(2)].

Students absent or late pick up more than 3 times will be placed on waitlist.
